Terms of Service

1. Overview

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Agentic Web Index (AWI) API, MCP endpoint, website, and related services operated by Agentic Web Index LLC. By using AWI, you agree to these terms.

2. Services

AWI provides source intelligence for AI agents via a REST API, Streamable HTTP MCP endpoint, Python SDK, and Claude Code plugin. The API and MCP endpoint are hosted services. The SDK and plugin are open-source software licensed under MIT and available at github.com/agenticwebindex/awi.

3. Accounts & API Keys

You must create an account to access the AWI API beyond free-tier limits. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your API keys and account credentials. You must not share API keys or use another user's credentials. You must promptly notify us if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

• -Use the API in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• -Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, probe, or circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security mechanisms.
• -Do not use the service to build a competing hosted source intelligence or measurement service.
• -Do not redistribute AWI data in bulk or resell API access to third parties.
• -Do not submit false or misleading outcome reports, quality reports, or source submissions.
• -Do not use automated means to scrape or harvest data beyond normal API usage.

5. Service Tiers & Rate Limits

AWI offers Free and Pro tiers. Free-tier accounts are subject to daily rate limits. Pro accounts require a paid subscription and are billed based on usage. We reserve the right to modify rate limits, pricing, and tier features with reasonable notice. Current pricing is published at agenticwebindex.com/pricing.

6. Billing & Payment

Pro accounts are billed monthly through Stripe. The base subscription fee is charged at the start of each billing period. Usage charges are calculated and billed at the end of each period. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. If payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until payment is resolved.

7. Data & Privacy

AWI processes queries, domain lookups, and outcome reports to provide the service. We log queries for demand analytics and service improvement. We do not sell your data to third parties. For full details, see our Privacy Policy. You may export or delete your account data at any time through the dashboard.

8. Intellectual Property

AWI source intelligence data, scoring methodology, and assessment algorithms are the property of Agentic Web Index LLC. API responses may be used in your applications and agent workflows. The AWI Python SDK and Claude Code plugin are licensed under MIT. "Agentic Web Index" and "AWI" are trademarks of Agentic Web Index LLC.

9. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. AWI is provided on an as-available basis. We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, or experience outages. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice for planned maintenance.

10. Disclaimers

AWI provides source assessments as informational signals. Scores reflect automated analysis and should not be treated as guarantees of source quality or reliability, accuracy, or reliability. Agents and users are responsible for their own access decisions. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AGENTIC WEB INDEX LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time through the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, with notice where practicable. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases. You may export your data before account deletion.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the website. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
